What I do is count in from the corners of the top after that is cut out. Then using the "rods" used in hair curlers (got the idea from my mom over 20 years ago). Place these "rods" in each of the corner hole that forms the outside edge of the section to be cut out. And yes, I count several times to make sure I have placed these "rods" in the right holes.
