What is the best
way to get started on learning about how to make plastic canvas items. I know nothing about the craft - size of needles or mesh, how to put it all together etc. etc. Is it best to start with a kit?

There are a lot of videos via the internet on getting started. I began working plastic canvas when I was 11 years old. I found it to be very easy! There are also a few magazines that you could purchase to get you started. In the search box at the top left of this website, type in "teach me" and you'll see a book that explains it all. Good luck. If you need further help, you can email me any time, lissa@plasticcanvascreations.com

My brother, age 60, had a car accident at 21 and had a head injury that has left him with limited short time memory. I do buy him activities such as painting birdhouses, general arts and crafts from the group home where he lives but he gets board. He used to do plastic canvas, making kleemex box covers and did quite well. Unfortunately he has forgotten how and I do not know what to do it to get him started and help him. I would Ppreciate Any help. Thanks so much,
